RMG201 – Getting Ready for MacWorld Expo

It’s almost Expo time and the speculation is insane; especially regarding new “lifestyle” MacOS D devices. Among the possibles, the iTV device pre-announced by Steve Jobs at this year’s World Wide Developers Conference, and the much anticipated Apple cell phone. What will Steve really pull out of his hat? I don’t know and neither does anyone else except for a handful of folk hanging out around 1 Infinite Loop.

If you’re going to the Expo, avoid being double-overbooked by checking out our hints and tips for things to see, do, places to stay, and especially, places to eat.

The Financial Times is reporting that our Favorite CEO, Steve Jobs, may be in a bit of trouble. According to today’s article, Apple may have “backdated” stock options give to Jobs in 2001. More details are expected in an expected SEC filing from Apple in the next few days.

Better news for Apple from Business Week where the company has the number two spot on a list of the top 50 high growth tech companies.

Today’s first question comes from Wilma in Paducah. Wilma wants to know about internet “cookies“. Dave explains what cookies are and how they are used and sometimes misused.

With the MacWorld Expo just around the corner and the end of many peoples fiscal year just a few days away, a listener from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville asks about the timing of a new purchase.

    I had all but removed the bookmark for Radio MacGuys when I finally saw the new podcast after five months plus away.
    Welcome back.
    We do appreciate different voices and perspectives on matters Macintosh and yours is unique.
